Abby does the same thing. she falls in love with one toy at a time and never lets go of it until i have to take it away b/c its so torn up.
She also plays herself to the point of exhaustion. a lot of times she passes out curled up with her toy
its so cute. what you describe sounds like typical yorkie to me
