1 lb ground turkey
1lb ground beef
1 sweet potato-steamed
1 cup lentils-boiled
1 cup brown rice -boiled
2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup flax seed
1/2 cup oat bran
1/2 lb peas
2 stalks of celery-chopped
1 bag of small baby carrots-steamed
4 cups of chicken broth-sodium free
4 cups of water
i mixed this all together, then separated it in containers , which would last me about a week.
then i added in each one ,a different flavor,
i used peanut butter in one, applesauce in another ,pecorino romano cheese in another. so this way sammy gets a different flavor every week.
i also add missing link with each meal, 2x a day , and he gets 1/2 super vitachew, with each meal.
my question is, do you think this if up to standards with nutritional value ? i would like to start giving him cosequin for his legs and joints and also give him grizzleys salmon oil. do you think this is too much for a 6 lb yorkie?
any help is greatly appreciated . thank you | You have no calcium source here. I don't know how much might be in the vita chew, but you need to get about 400 mg calcium for him daily. Solid Gold makes a powdered bonemeal that is really easy to add to the food. |
