 My puppy has a liver shunt
Hello, I'm the proud new mom of a 2 pound Yorkie named Dixie. I've had her for 2 months now and have just found out she has a liver shunt. Does anyone have any helpful hints about diet. I am a nurse so I know how to manage a liver patient, but my concerns are she is not getting enough nutrition with the Hill's dog food. Her coat is thin and dry I'm thinking she need some vitamins or suppliments. anyone have any ideas? My vet wasnt a lot of help. thanks. |
