Are pet stores that sell kittens as bad as selling puppies??

I asked where they get all of them and they say most of them come from people with an outdoor female that gets unexpectedly pregnant. And some are stays that people find but cant care for.

So my question is, is buying products from this store just as bad as buying from one that sells puppies??
