I have family members and friend to ask for discounted or free pups too.
I have no problem turning them down, if I feel they would not be right for my babies.
But this one blew my mind.
My SNL though I should give her a big discount..
She calls me and says she is looking for one for her 10 year old
daughter to breed...
I told her in the first place a 10 year old has no business breeding anything.
That no reputable breeder would ever sell to her.
She said …well of course I’ll be helping her.
I tried to explained the importance of being educated about the breed,
the hard work and the pit falls of breeding.
She was still adamant about getting a dog.
So, I told things to look as far as getting a healthy dog ….but that I would NOT sell to her.
Last I heard she bought a Male.
I’m hoping that they will forget about trying to breed…but who knows.
Some people you just can‘t reason with....
