Your mom will be fine. I'm sure you will be talking to her on the phone. She probably loves her mom as much as you love her, and your mom does not get to see her every day.
My mom is also my best friend (and I am 51 years old). All my life, she has been my best friend. My mom lives in Florida and I live in CT. My mom and dad come to visit me in the summer, and I go and visit them in the winter.
Your mom's visit will be over before you know it.
