[I] think the laminates are much easier to care for than the "newer" hard wood floors...
I have 100 year old long leaf pine on my floor and would NEVER change.. it came to me with nail holes, etc.. kinda worn already look, and it never shows scratches or blemishes.... my mother in law thought something was wrong with it cuz it had HOLES in it... LOL
If I had to do it again with NEW hardwood, I would go with the laminate instead but would rather go with the true OLD wood...
