At 4 months you want to be feeding him 3 times a day. Space these out, one when he gets up in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. You may well find that if you give him a snack right before bed he will sleep better and won't wake up too early. You can feed 'people' food or 'dog' food, but do your research. If you want to feed 'people' food then research how to give him a correct balanced diet, there should be alot of information on here about that. If you want to feed 'dog' food then again research which ones are the good high quality foods, this site may help you www.dogfoodanalysis.com.

I feed raw because my dogs do best on it, they are thriving. However don't feed raw unless you are confident that you can get it right, its like giving yourself a healthy diet you have to get the balance of different nutrients correct.
