 Feeding wet food?
In my search for Wickett's favorite dog food I called up all the 4 and 5 star companies and requested samples of their dry foods. Natural Balance also sent along some samples of their wet food. I've given a bit of it to Wickett twice (once a few weeks ago and once last night) and he has gone absolutely NUTS over it!! Gobbled it up in seconds and licked the bowl clean. Wow!
So.....is it bad to occasionally give him a treat of canned food? I know that they should be on a dry food diet because of their teeth, but does a little bit of wet food once in a while as a treat hurt? He just likes it so much! I've still got plenty of sample left, so I won't need to buy any for a while. Just wondering if it's ok, since he won't get it enough to become habitual or to keep him from wanting his dry food. |
