Naw, I think hesitation is a good sign when it comes to something big and life-altering like bringing a new pet home. Many rescues have waiting periods precisely so that people WILL hesitate, and take the time to ask if that specific animal will fit well into their lives. Not every rescue dog is going to be a fit for every person out there, but people who have limitations to what they can handle whether due to family situations, work situations, or inexperience as dog owners shouldn't be discouraged from adopting a rescue just because they're realistic about what they're willing to work with. A badly abused or neglected dog, a fear-biter, or a dog that was aggressive probably really wouldn't be a good choice for a person who was new to the breed, but this little girl sounds like she'd be very manageable.
