It is horrible to see something like that!!
Call the police department EVERY DAY to report speeding on this road. Eventually they will post a car there to check.
We live on a main thoroughfare - the speed limit is 25mph like all the other subs - and people fly down our street between 45 and 50mph all the time. We do have a police officer who lives a few houses down and regularly parks his care in his driveway. That helps somewhat but the only thing that slows people down (temporarily) is when there is a car posted near the stop sign (that people also regularly blow through).
