In my area we have such a shortage of nurses but it is very competitve to get accepted and since I cant take off from working for 2 yrs for my adn (rn) i am going to get my LVN, then apply to the RN (adn) program and then apply to the BSN program , it just seems like so much work, unlike other bachelors..

You don't have to get a Bachelor's degree to be a staff nurse. You just need that for office jobs & higher positions.

I'm in a 4-year university program that will give me a BSN at the end, straight out of high school...I didn't have to do anything extra. It's a Bachelor's of Science majoring in Nursing. I will be an RN w/ a degree rather than diploma.
