Before you make any decisions, I think you should wait until
AFTER you meet with your mentor at the YTCA yorkie specialty next week. It takes longer than a week usually to be accepted for a rescue. After you talk with your mentor and if you plan on breeding and showing, you will have your hands full!!! I have two rescues, so I do believe in the getting rescues, but I never had plans to breed or show.........strictly a pet situation. If after the meet, you decide that showing and breeding is not your "thing," then certainly move forward with getting your first yorkie via a rescue. JMO
