We had to have our jack russell put down this summer due to cancer. he was a wonderful dog, very smart, loving, and the easiest dog to house train I ever had. We had to take our carpets up because of the shedding, and have ceramic tile floors put in. I had wanted a yorkie for many years, and I was ready to love another little angel when I got sawyer. he is all i wanted and more. he doesn't take the place of Sam, he is his own little character. As much as I loved sam, I would never want a different dog than a yorkie . A yorkie is an experience all in its own, very unique, with different traits and habits. But every yorkie I have ever seen has a style all their own. If you are looking for a pet quality puppy, you can find purebreeds out there for the same price as a mixed. I am not knocking mixed breeds; but a pure yorkie is something every dog lover should get to experience at least once. No matter what you get, it sounds like you will be a very loving mommy.
