Should I Call UPS?? Today I was at home in the middle of the day & Roxie was in the backyard squirrel hunting, while Bubba was in the house doing what Bubba's do - NAPPING!
Roxie started barking to be let in & when I opened the back door I saw my back gate was standing wide open. Roxie is so good she didn't escape, but if Bubba had been out there who knows where he would be right now, because an open gate to him is an invitation to see the world!
I couldn't figure out who had opened the back gate.
A short time later, I got in my car and as I backed out of my driveway I saw a box delivered by UPS on my front step.
So I'm thinking, this must be the scenerio that happened: after the UPS guy knocked on the front door & I didn't hear him, he thought he would leave it in the back so no one would steal my package. But probably he opened the back gate & Roxie came running at him, he changed his mind, but didn't get the gate latched.
I certainly am not looking to get a UPS guy in trouble, but I'm wondering if I should call them up & just let them know they should be more careful?? My babies could have been lost or killed or who knows what!
I should say I live in a 110-plus year old house with solid walls & no door bell, and I was in the back of the house and this is probably why I didn't hear him knock. |
