So, so scary. I had a similar experience and ran out onto a snow covered road, threw my arm up and yelled "stoooooooop" at oncoming traffic. Another time I dove off a deck on my lunch hour, in the rain while crying hysterically because he thought it was a game of chase.(and he was definately winning) I've Otis proofed every door and square inch of my fence since then! No more escapes. Thank Goodness you got her back. I'm sure the road rash was worth it to have her safe, you probably didn't feel it until she was back in the house!!
