Most good breeders don't let their puppies go before 10-12 weeks, some older. When they are older you get more of an idea of what their size and temperament will be. How many other people have looked at those puppies and didn't want them? She must have been advertising for awhile if she has been trying to find them a home. Something still sounds fishy, and I would definitely take someone with me. You know the old saying "better to be safe, than sorry"
