Common sense was telling me something was very wrong with how these shots being handed out like m & m's.....I was angry when I googled "overvaccinations" and started reading.......the vet is not exactly in an unbiased position to be advising us on not doing shots.....they try to make us feel like bad pet owners if we don't get them all done but I'm not buying it anymore....

I totally agree with these last couple of comments. I think they are trained to PUSH this stuff on us... and just like in the medical world, I believe there are kickbacks to vets for using / buying the vaccines from the pharmaceutical companies.

Like I said, I am just COMPLETELY thankful that I am here... I would be absolutely lost without having done my homework and learned from those of you folks who have trudged the road before me!!

And, to Wylie's mom..... I think you were one of the people who gave me some good comments about your experiences with Banfield. So far, I am TOTALLY pleased with what we have had so far. For the $360 it costs me for the year, it has almost already paid for itself and we haven't even had our Spay yet!!! I was really afraid they were going to push stuff on my left and right, etc... and really, they give me choices for some "extras", but are not pushy whatsoever and have been just great. The only "extra" thing I've purchased is the heartworm stuff, but I expected that. I appreciate your sharing your experiences on that.
