I called the breeder again. I decided to get references before making the long trip to visit her home tomorrow. She gave me several references and then said that she will have some questions to ask ME tomorrow.

She is going to be checking me out, also. She said she wants to see how the puppies take to me, how they react to me, and whether or not I am the right owner for them. The fact that she is not willing to just let anyone buy her two inexpensive puppies and wants to check me out, too made me feel better.

What do you think? A good sign?
