 Mange and treatment
My boys had sarcoptic mange when I got them too. They had a skin scraping to confirm it. Then they each got a medicated bath, antibiotics and were immediately put on Revolution which kills the mites that cause the mange. They had to return to the vet two weeks later for another skin scraping to confirm that the mites were dead, they were. They have been on Revolution now for over a year and not had a recurrence. For anyone's info, Revolution is a one dose per month topical (back of the neck) medication that kills fleas, ticks, mites, sarcoptic mange and heartworm all in one monthly dose, it costs approximately $10 a month per dog. I swear by it. |
