Too funny ( not really ) ...... Toby will tell me he has to go and I'll take him out and he stands at the door off the pool and looks at that scarey big grassy area. I simply do the "packleader" role and insist that he goes out and 99% of the time he hesitates but does go out and takes care of business. Now when hubby gets the bark to potty from Toby (oh and hubby is not a good packleader), he takes him out but does not "MAKE" him go out into the yard to potty. They come back in and within five minutes, Toby is giving him the "bark" again. Takes him out and he goes. Try putting him on a leash and walking him in the same area he potties in and sometimes the odor of a previous elimination will move them to go! Also using the same words for potty and HUGE verbal rewards when he does his business and even having a treat handy to give him when he eliminates will possibly encourage him to do his business ouside. Just some suggestions.
