Puck has been to the vet too many times in his life...he's almost 1 year old, and just had surgery 3 days ago to remove his testicles (neither of which had dropped...the vets could never even feel where they were). The surgery, unfortunately, was not a success, as neither vet could find either testicle. Puck is completely traumatized, and I'm not being an overly anxious mother. I've had dogs my whole life, and this little guy is just completely stressed over this. The vet wants me to take him to a specialist to have yet another surgery! Maybe I'm just venting, but I am having so many problems with vets in this city! Puck has been to 3 already, and no one seems to know what to do with him! He's 5 lbs, is healthy now, but was very sick when I bought him.
Get to the question, right? I'm sorry...this is just upsetting..I need advise as to what to do. Does anyone know how long I should wait before attempting yet another surgery? I know the risk of cancer and all that, but I have serious doubts as to whether Puck can make it through another surgery. Also, if anyone is in Las Vegas, do you know of a good vet who's capable of handling a Yorkie?
Thanks for the help...sorry to drag on.
