Stopping the cottage cheese would probably be good although I think that lactose would also cause diarrhea.
Ask your apartment complex if they have been treating for fire ants or used any pesticide lately. I had this same problem when Bailey was a puppy. It turned out that the problem was the powder we were using on the fire ant hills. We were bringing in small amounts on our shoes which were making him sick. A lot of apartment complexes in TN have recently been treating for fire ants because it has been in the news so much around here.
