 Possibly pregnant yorkie
Hi! I'm brand new at this site. I have a beautiful 7 lb. Yorkie named Jazz that I adore. Here's my problem-I boarded her at a local Pet Hotel for 2 days a couple of weeks ago. The day after I picked her up, I got an anonymous call from an employee to let me know that a 6-mo-old Havanese male had sex with her during her play group time. He should never have been in the same play group and she was upset I hadn't been told.
I've confirmed this happened with the manager-and to get to my main issue here-she had a blood test on Friday and I won't have the results for about 2 days. After talking with the Dr., and knowing that the Havanese was larger than Jazz-I'm not sure what the safest route to go is. Allow the pregnancy to proceed and know she may need a caeserian or have them perform an abortion. My vet would do the abortion at their office and spay her at the same time or I could go to a specialist to do the abortion and not spay her. I just don't want her to die and I'm freaking out a bit. I'd be grateful for your input. Thanks. |
