HI all, I just got a 8wk yorkie male about 2 weeks ago. I have been doing the crate training technique, it seems to be working. We put him in during parts of the day and at night, yes he barks for about 5 min and then settles down. There is a soft bed in the back and we put a pad down towards the front. We left a ball for him to play/ chew on when he gets bored. May be trying putting a comfortable bed and some toys and see if that helps. I build a custom play pen for him which has the crate attached to it. This way he can go to sleep in the crate when he gets tired. hope it helps |
