 Rocky molting?
Hi, I gave my 10 year old yorkie, Rocky, a bath yesterday. I started seeing tufts of hair lying around and have found that I can just pull tufts of hair off of his body. I clipped him short for the summer. This is more than just a little shedding - this is tufts of hair. Is this normal or is this a sign of something wrong? I've never seen this before. Any information would be appreciated. He usually has a much longer coat and when I comb him never see anything like this. I posted this on the grooming board and thyroid was mentioned. Could this be? If so, what would other signs be. His blood was tested in March when he had eye problems and his thyroid was ok then. Thanks.
