To Superstarkba and other micro-chippers:
The vet called today to check on Coby (for his neutering). I asked him about my wanting to test the chip. He said they can do that, no problem. He said if I remind him any time, they'll test it for me. Said it just takes a minute. And I'll wait and make sure that I get a confirmation from the database people (PETtrac) to confirm my info is in there correctly.
He did say that he's seen just a couple migrate from the injection site, but that when a vet or shelter scans an animal, they make sure to do the entire animal in case the chip moved. |
