I also think that it depends on the age of the larger dogs. my brother has one of the most well behaved Golden Retrievers and we take our dogs to go play with them sometimes. But he is only two and sometimes doesn't know his own strength, or he gets worked up easily, which can be potentially dangerous for my dogs. We just keep a close eye on them, and at first, we just put them in a crate so they could smell each other without romping around together, and the big dog eventually laid down next to them like they were his little babies! So even well tempered dogs can do damage while having a good time. Just keep a close eye out. I know my dogs let other dogs know when they are crossing the line!
