I understand your not wanting to use a pesticide on your pets, it just doesn't sit well with me either....you can try what Sugar's Mom said which is a safer alternative......some people on her swear by feeding their yokie's yeast and garlic supplements., I haven't tried this yet but I plan to....Neem oil shampoo is a safer way to go rather than some of the other flea shampoos which have chemicals in them....I've also heard that Fossil Shell Flour(food grade) is 100% non toxic to put everywhere you may get fleas, on the pets, in their beds and in your carpet, it's sold on Perma Guard's site....good luck on your research it's probably going to be a lot of trial and error til you find what works for you....
