Default Patella problems

My female yorkie was only 2 yrs old at the time of her knee surgery for the patella problem. At first I noticed she wasn't using one leg and holding it up, then she would stop when walking and just sit there. I had her checked and after her knee surgery she's been fine, that was 4 yrs ago. They just scrape out the bone for the ligament to sit in the groove and work correctly. Just like they do for people.

Her sister shows no signs of knee problems now and she's 4 yrs old. The both of them are staying at 5 lbs. each, I think an overweight yorkie would just add problems to their little bodies. Hope this helped your situation, don't hesitate to ask more questions if needed.

Best of luck,
