Default Joey was so bad today!

We were all out front on the deck enjoying the afternoon and my husband stepped over the boyz' gate and outside the deck. Jo wanted to go with him and he thought it would be a good idea...not me...but, men rarely ever listen! Sooo, Jo snoops around the little tier between us and the neighbor and wanders out to their front yard...hubby says 'it's o.k.'...yah, right Joey hastens his step and before you know it he's 2 houses down and heading for the big tiers that run across the front of our properties...it's probably a 4 foot drop. By this time my husband is behind him but afraid to take chase because he was afraid Jo would fall off the tier. Well...Jo found the steps and headed down to the second tier...hubby was hot on his heels! I went down the steps in front of the other neighbor's house and headed him off. The little monster...he wouldn't listen to my husband for anything...but when I showed up and said a very firm 'stop!' he dropped like a rock and didn't move! I must have more authority in my voice than I realized! So, later this evening we were on the deck again...hubby was outside the deck in the grass on his hammock and guess who wanted to join Dad outside the railing...yep, Jo! I explained how bad he was earlier and he wasn't allowed outside the railing like that anymore...he laid down with his little head on his paws and whined for a couple of minutes...I think he's over it now though. Honestly, I think he was headed for the boat dock...they love it over there. So, I guess we need to do some basic training around here...but...do I start with Jo or my husband? One didn't listen any better than the other!
