Default What to do after a work out

I just worked out for 1 hr. I have heard different things about whats best to do after a work out...how long do you wait to shower? I heard you should cool down first then shower. How long after do you eat? When do you work out, in the AM or PM? My brother said if you want to lose weight its best to work out early morning with nothing in your stomach so that what you burn is actual fat. He also said its good to drink straight black coffee to increase your metabolism but i hate coffee so i just drink water. So what do you guys do?
