Default Poodles to Yorkie

I got Chelsea by chance, she was gifted to me by some friends, that couldnt keep her, due to her activity. They always wanted a Yorkie, but didnt realize how much attention they need. They bought her from a breeder, a real bargain of $600.They both work full time, and they didnt have the time nor energy to keep her, and wanted her to go to a forever home.

I always had poodles since 1972, first a black mini, Sheba, which our kids consider their pet.
Sheba was PTS due to renal failure at the old age of 17, she was very special to all.
Within 3 weeks, I bought Penny, from a breeder in NM, Copper Penny was a toy red poodle. Then I decided to breed her at 2yrs, and signed off for a stud. I was traveling, I received a message that the breeder had decided to sell the red toy male, so when I came home, I purchased him, Cinnebar Lanier. I had both until they were 15 yrs old. Penny had a very tragic death in our swimming pool one night, she had canine dementia, and we think walked right into the pool. Lanier became blind, arthritic, and demented so I decided to PTS. Both were cremated and I have their ashes.

After our loss of Lanier, 4 ays later, I got a call from my best friend, her boss's parents wanted to find a good home for Chelsea.

2.5 years later, LIFE has never been the same at this house.

I find the breed active, and highly intelligent, and all along I thought poodles were the best.

We love her dearly, and she is a joy to have in our home, and OF COURSE, she isnt spoiled...

The best part, we no longer live in the home with the swimming pool, so Chelsea is very safe in our back yard. We call it Chelsea's yard, because she runs in it, barking..MY YARD, MY YARD!
