I don't think it's too young for you to trim her bottom up yourself, but I'd use scissors rather then clippers...less scary for her. And remember to make it fun...play with her...trim a little...give her some lovin'...trim a little more. You don't want to make it a traumatic experience the first time...or she'll remember that and associate grooming with trauma. Do it slowly and lovingly, and she'll grow to love it as well. But if you decide to take her to a groomer, choose wisely...again you don't want her to be scared of grooming...it's a life long process!!!
