^Good point... there are cetain things that certain dogs adhere to well, SIT, STAY, WAIT, etc... figure out whichever gets the best response from yours and use that until some more training/learning can be implemented...

Shy away from running, yelling, and flailing... that generally means that "we're playing" or "I'm in trouble" either way, you don't get the response you want!
