I would give what you feel your budget can afford. I had my wedding at an expensive hotel downtown in the grand ballroom. We paid 140.00 a head. (that was 6yrs ago) We didnt expect to break even at all, i just figured this was gonna be the best party i ever threw so I went we went all out. Infact it was so funny one of our groomsmen who was having financial difficulties at the time gave us an envelope with fake money in it. It was pretty funny but i understood. The average amt we got was anywhere between 150 & 200.00 with the exception of family who gave a lot more.
200.00 seems like an okay amt to me, like I said i never expected to recoupe what i spent on my wedding and i really dont think most people do. So go drink be merry and dont worry about it. Just have a great time!!!!!!!!!!! |
