I have hardwood, pre-finished with a 20 year warrantly on the finish (thus, hopefully, no sanding, buffing, refinishing for a LONG time). I absolutely love them. I also have a naughty little boy who likes to sprinkle on them. I have had absolutely no problems at all, even after it has dried (before I find it ). However, his "puddles" are not large. I have spilled some water that went over the joints or seams, and didn't find it either right away, with no warping or anything. Of course, that is just my experience. We've had our hardwood floor for 5 years, and it looks great!

I have heard wonderful things about the high end vinyl and whomever said that it looks just like hardwood, is right, at least in the store. I've not seen it in a whole house or room, but it is gorgeous in the store. I was thinking that if I ever needed to do something other than hardwood, I might consider high end vinyl.

Does anyone know if the vinyl will scratch?
