Wink Something to consider...

You know...my mother had a tiny Manchester Terrier who was older when my kids were little. She would get them in a second if they poked at her or went to pick her up...

They learned early to leave her alone...called her "The Owie Doggie"...but they learned how to act around her~

I think that you could easily place a gate and keep Winnie away from the baby when your not going to be able to watch them.
Kids learn amazingly fast on what they should do or not do. If Winnie lives there...then your daughter automatically knows he belongs and isn't a toy to grab.

I had a mini poodle who was 7 when my first son was born..then 9 when #2 son came around..and 11 when my daughter was born. I taught them to leave her alone and be nice...

She died at the age of 19...my middle son adored her...they were always very gentle with her..because they had always heard for years....
Be careful...she is old...

Just something to think about...I'm sorry for what your going through..but also know that kids are smarter than we give them credit and your daughter will learn real fast on how to treat your Winnie.

I wish you only the best.
