I have been checking into new flooring and every place I went told me absolutely no on the hardwood floors. My vet recommended luxury vinyl because that is what they put in the office and in their home. It comes in different styles and it also comes in planks that look exactly like wood. They had some layed in all of the flooring stores and if I didnt know better I would have thought it was wood. It is a little pricey but that is what we are going with. Look up www.karndean.com. It wont be cold like ceramic tile and wont stain like hardwoood would.It also has like a 12-15 year warranty on it.
