we have been going to a dermatologist for a year and dd is now on atopica and temaril p but i am now working with a nutritionist
doniasea@aol.com to get her off the meds - atopica is better than steroids however - less side effects - i opted not to do allergy shots as have not heard of too many positive responses. The derm said if the front half is itchy then food allergy and best food i have heard over and over is home cooked or natural balance duck and potato- if back half itchy then flea allergy and then all over itchy is environmental. I put a tshirt on dd at all times to ward off the allergents and since she went after her neck she wears a sock around her neck now. I bath her in ketachlor and use resiprox for leave on lotion both from vet/dermatologist. Resiprox does not have steroids in it so will not thin out the skin as steroids does.
