| I have 1 female puppy available.. Hi friends!
This is my first time posting a puppy on this group. I feel more comfortable posting here because I feel as though I know some of the members.
I have 1 female that is 4.5 months. She is 2.75 pounds, I guess her to be 5-5.5 pounds full grown. She is limited AKC registered. She has been seen by my vet 3 times, sound knees, heart, and scissor bite. Her vaccines are current. Her coat is silk, she will be a nice blue and gold color. She is a nice representation of the breed. She is pee pad trained and gets along well with other Yorkies and kids. She is a lover!! I am letting her go for $2000. I do not ship, pick up is required. You can see pictures of her (Delisha) and her parents on my website www.stellaryorkies.com.
Here is the low down on me and my breeding program. ..
I live in Ohio, I am 32 years old full time account manager for a bank. I have a 5 year old son and a wonderful man that supports my love of Yorkies. I've been breeding Yorkshire Terriers for 3 years. I have done a lot of research on the breed and carefully studied the hereditary defects that can be passed on to the puppies. Before I bought my Yorkies I had done research on the clinics in my area, looking for the best vet that knew about canine reproduction and the diseases Yorkies are susceptible to.
I am also a buyer and I have visited MANY various breeders in my search for my Stellar Yorkie foundation. I realized how hard it is to get the 'entire package in a Yorkie which IMO is Health, Beauty, and Temperament. I made it my mission when I started breeding to start with Yorkies that are clear of all the following hereditary defects:
Listed are the diseases my adults are tested for and the names/ways of testing for diagnosis:
Liver Shunt - Serum Bile Acid results are normal
Luxating Patella - the knees are evaluated by my vet by maneuvering the knees
Heart Murmur and 'Bad Bites' - Determined during routine vet exam of teeth and taking a listen to the heart beat.
**I am in the process of having all my Yorkies Xrayed for Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease**
Soundness in mind and body are my PRIMARY concerns first and foremost!
The prices of my puppies are on the higher end because of the money I put into my program. I do progesterone testing to ensure they are bred on the peak of their heat, that is not always determined on the first test.
Because of my job I do not have the flexibility or the environment to whelp puppies at work. This is a list of what I pay for when pups are due:
**Mid-wife that take my moms-to-be home with her 2 days before their due date to be on labor watch for 24 hrs until delivery mom's depending on where they are ready to go than can stay there up to a week. I pay for this service for piece of mind and to ensure safe delivery for mom and pups.
**More often than not, pups are born via c-section.
**I pay for my puppies tails and dews to be done by my vet
** I also pay for vaccines and full stool screenings (Float, Gram Stain, and Wet Mount) when vaccinated.
These are just a few of the EXPECTED expenses for my 12 Yorkies:
**I feed top quality food, I mix Natural Balance Duck & Potato with Sensible Choice Lamb and Rice by Royal Canine.
**I give a vitamin supplement on their food called Show Brite by MetroPlex
**grooming supplies
**beds, toys, washable pee pads
**yearly dentals
**shots
**Year round treatment of Revolution for fleas, ear mite and other parasites
The list of UNEXPECTED has no beginning or end...the costs of my puppies have covered an 8 wk old puppy that was stricken with Cocci, and crashed of low blood sugar. I rushed him in to my vet and was hospitalized for 1 week. He has had a full blood panel done as well as a serum bile Acid test. He has been in an incubator this whole time with a catheter in his femur bone feeding him fluids and Dextrose intravenously. So I hope you all understand the money I get for my puppies goes right back into my breeding program. I have no regrets nor would I change my prices, if I did I wouldn't be able to cover this little guys medical expenses or any other big expenses that may come my way.
My Yorkies are kept in my home they are raised with love.
I carefully select homes for my puppies, the majority of them are placed with people that were referred to me or those that had already bought from me. I have references of all kinds, personal, those of others that bought puppies from me and of my vet. If there is anything someone wants from me all they have to do is ask.
