well the dogs not saying anything really. the dogs have to be vocal to start off with. they're really repeating a sound you find humerus. you say something and they whine. you think it sounds like something ie momma and try to get them to repeat that whine by whining or talking like their whine and when they do you reward it. that's makes them do it again. they learn that by making a whining sound that resembles a sound you make they get rewarded. its hard to do. i know i couldn't teach morgan to do it because she's not very vocal at all.
