Five months is a little late to start grooming. I start grooming puppies at 5 weeks. At this age, I would NEVER take them to a groomer. I would never take them anyway after what I have seen. Yorkies seem more relaxed when thier owner does the grooming. You get to spend lots of time with them too. The price of grooming equipment is alot cheaper over the lifetime of the dog than to keep going to the groomers. You might have a mobile groomer come to your house. That way you can be there and the pup might not be as scared. Good luck!!! Lynn |
