Oxcytocin shot is something that I do automatically 12 - 24 hours after whelping. It causes the uterus to contract, thus emptying if of any membranes that could cause infection; it also increases the milk letdown. Normal average temp is approximately 101.4 - 102 degrees.
Body temp for pups Weeks 1-2 94-99 degrees. Weeks 3-4 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
