I always get petite-length slacks and skirts (and blazers if I can since my arms are short, too.) I got my mom buying them, too, and for the longest time she would always complain about how the slacks are still long. I finally figured out that while I am MAYBE an inch taller than her, my legs are longer.
So, I helped her find some petite SHORT and those work for her. They work as ankle pants on me!
