MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!

When we go to PetSmart, we love to visit the chinchillas....I mean, Sully loves to visit them. He sits next to their cage and just goes NUTS watching them. But I'd be scared to know what would happen to the chinchillas if they weren't safely behind the glass.

I think your yorkie would love having a chinchilla.....for the 5 minutes that your chinchilla would stay alive....

But, it MAY be possible to keep the chinchilla in an extra room, maybe an office or something like that and be sure to leave it in its cage at all times unless your yorkies are penned up. Taking proper precaution, it can be possible...just make sure your husband knows the facts, like rrosenberry said, yorkies are bred to hunt and kill rodents!

PS. I noticed you were born in 1981...lol, me too...in October. And so was my husband, in May.
