yeah I would say slowly move the pad once every couple days a tiny bit closer to where you want it to go eventually. Only a couple inches each time you move it. It might be a slow process, but I think she'll get it. Also someone else mentioned neutralize the old area just in case there is any residual smell ... that might help too... regular white vinegar will neutralize it. Good Luck!!
