Mine are exactly the same. Willie has straight silky hair --- and very shiny even when he needs a bath, like now. I would consider letting his grow if he wasn't such a boy.
Archie however has the cotton coat from hades. It is thick with a bit of a wave and mats if you look at him. By the time I finish brushing one side of him, the side I just brushed is already tangled again. At least it sure seems so.
