OMG that is making me cry right now...I hate that it happens to him like that. UGH..it just breaks my heart to know we can not do anything. I have to say the Vet told me they are not in pain when they are going through it. They are just scared so the best thing to do is exactly what you are doing - just be there and try to comfort him.
Sending lost of hugs and prayers your way....I wish there was something I could do.
