also...just a note, females ovulate at different times, hince the days you should mate them. the sperm can live up to 72 hrs so depending on the day she ovulated, it could be 72 hrs later that it took.
so one of those ties will not take b/c they cannot conceive between that long of a span. |
To be totally honest I don't know how to determine when they actually come in heat. If I keep a really close check on them then I notice the smallest swelling start about 2-3 weeks before the full swelling happens. So when do I start counting the days? When do I determine the actual count of 7 days coming in, 7 days in, and 7 days going out? I have had them tie 2 weeks after I thot the girls had gone out of heat. Bet you can guess that was a surprise? If I count 9 days after the bleeding starts, how can I be sure that the bleeding started that first day of the 9? I know to check with a tissue. Sylvia
